Our
Quality of Life Development Program is designed
to raise funds for the organization so that we
can continue to enhance the quality of life of
our residents, build on the quality of work life
for the staff and reinforce public recognition
of the work done at Parkridge Centre.
The
Quality of Life Development Program:
- Heightens
awareness of services and care provided at Parkridge
- Raises
funds for improvements that will enhance quality
of life for our residents and clients
- Identifies
and develops partnerships that link Parkridge
even closer to the surrounding community
Just
as in any home, the time comes when items need
replacing, renovations must be done and a new
look is required. Our home has been very busy
and needs have changed. The Quality of Life Development
Program will help provide a new look, feel and
direction for Parkridge.
- We
are planning physical improvements to our neighbourhoods,
the atrium and green spaces
- Current
and future program needs are being identified
and explored
- We
are looking into replacing furniture, equipment
and supplies
- Funding
for additional programming or education costs
may be required
Over
the years we have grown in how we provide for
our residents. We have adapted to changing needs
and discovered new ways to support our residents'
quality of life. We know the needs of today and
we are committed to meeting
the
needs of tomorrow:
- Renovated
and redecorated spaces clearly defining dining
rooms, kitchens, and living rooms
- A
more accessible tuck shop at the centre of the
atrium
- Green
spaces for residents to go outside, walk with
family and friends, and have the opportunity
for social occasions; places where children have
room to play in the fresh air, seniors can enjoy
a walk outdoors and green-thumb residents can
plant a garden
- Indoor
spaces allowing for greater interaction
We
pledge Parkridge Centre will continue to be a
welcoming, appealing and comfortable home environment
for staff, visitors and residents with complex
and specialized needs.
